Peggy Jean is a riverside restaurant and bar in Richmond, set on a restored barge along the Thames.

About Peggy Jean

Known for its terrace, sunset views and relaxed atmosphere, it’s a popular spot for brunch, drinks and outdoor dining in South West London.

Children

Please note that Peggy Jean is not suitable for children, toddlers and babies without close parental supervision due to the nature of being located on a working pontoon on tidal waters. Peggy Jean contains multiple levels and openings onto the water that can be extremely dangerous. Any children that are brought onto the boats must be supervised by an adult at all times for their own safety. Sadly Daisy Green is unable to take any responsibility for adults who choose to bring children onto the boat.

We are very limited on space to park prams. Prams can be stored at the entrance.

Dogs

We are dog friendly throughout the day on the terrace. Please note, dogs are not allowed inside, and space is very limited on the boat so dogs will need to stay on leads close to their owners.

Bookings

Please note, we only take seated bookings of up to 6 guests.

Best For

Water-top dining, sunset dining, intimate special occasions & those looking for a unique dining destination.

Inside Peggy Jean at Riverside Green

Good To Know

  1. Is Peggy Jean really on a boat?
Yes. A fully restored Oxford college barge, moored on Richmond Riverside with a pontoon terrace on the Thames.
  2. Does Peggy Jean do bottomless brunch?
Yes: a brunch dish and 90 minutes of free-flowing drinks, 35 a head, Saturdays and Sundays. Book ahead.
  3. Is there outdoor seating?
Yes, the pontoon terrace on the Thames, under umbrellas and heated when it turns cold. It can be booked like the tables inside.
  4. Can I bring children?
Yes, with an adult at all times: the boat has several levels and openings onto tidal water. Prams are stored at the entrance; space is very limited.
  1. Can I bring my dog?
On the terrace, on a lead. Not inside the boat.
  2. How big a table can I book?
Seated bookings are for up to six. For anything larger, the events team can take the boat or a deck of it.
  3. Do you take cash?
No. We are cashless: card and phone payments only.
