A co-founder of Shaw + Smith, Tolpuddle Vineyard and MMAD Vineyard, Michael has played a defining role in shaping Australia’s contemporary wine landscape. His work is guided by a belief in vineyard character, balance and longevity, with a focus on exceptional cool-climate regions including the Adelaide Hills, Tasmania and McLaren Vale. From internationally acclaimed Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to historic old-vine Grenache, Shiraz and Chenin Blanc, his wines are recognised for precision, purity and age-worthy elegance.
