PEGGY JEAN AT RIVERSIDE GREEN
Peggy Jean is a riverside restaurant and bar in Richmond, London, set on a restored barge along the Thames. Known for its terrace, sunset views and relaxed atmosphere, it’s a popular spot for brunch, drinks and outdoor dining in South West London.
Moored on Richmond Riverside, Peggy Jean offers both indoor seating and a sun-filled terrace, with heated spaces in cooler months. It’s especially busy in summer, when more space is opened up for walk-ins and guests can enjoy drinks and small plates by the water.
The menu follows an Australian-inspired, all-day style, with a strong brunch offering alongside seasonal dishes and fire-cooked plates. It’s designed for everything from morning coffee to long, relaxed afternoons with spritzes and sharing plates.
Peggy Jean is best suited to weekend brunch, group dining and riverside drinks, particularly for those looking for outdoor dining in Richmond. What makes it stand out is its unique boat setting and one of the best sunset views in London.

Peggy Jean, our lovingly restored former Jesus College Oxford barge, enjoys unparalleled views of the Thames, Richmond Bridge and Richmond Riverside. A stunning water-top dining destination, the historic barge and sun trap pontoon combines quintessential Oxford College Boat race charm with relaxed and inspired Aussie beach club vibes. It makes an ideal location for a lazy weekend brunch with friends or a summer sunset dinner. On board there is an intimate bar and dining space perfect for a cosy evening. The venue is home to twin Gozney clay ovens, meaning a special menu of freshly grilled day boat fish and sharing Tomahawk steaks - all cooked over fire, Aussie BBQ style.
DOGS: We are dog friendly throughout the day and evening on our terraces! Please note, no dogs are allowed inside the boat.
CHILDREN: Please note that Peggy Jean is not suitable for children, toddlers and babies without close parental supervision due to the nature of being located on a working pontoon on tidal waters.
Peggy Jean contains multiple levels and openings onto the water that can be extremely dangerous.
Any children that are brought onto the boats must be supervised by an adult at all times for their own safety.
Sadly Daisy Green is unable to take any responsibility for adults who choose to bring children onto the boat.
