LONDON’S BEST BREWS
This month, we’re celebrating all things coffee with The London Coffee Festival. A cornerstone of the industry for over a decade, it’s all about community, creativity and championing specialty coffee at its best. Running from 14–17 May at The Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, this year’s set to be a big one.
The festival spans four days. Thursday and Friday are dedicated to the industry, baristas, roasters, green bean buyers and everyone in between. The weekend opens up to the public, so if you’ve ever wanted to dive deeper into the world of coffee, this is your moment.
For us, coffee has always been about more than just the drink. It’s about the ritual around it, the first one of the day, the mid-morning reset, the catch-up that turns into something longer. We focus on quality without overcomplicating it, working with great beans, well-trained teams and spaces that make you want to stay a little longer. It should feel consistent, considered, and easy to come back to.
As always, Daisy Green Collection will be repping at the La Marzocco stand on Thursday 14 May from 10:00am–1:00pm. We’ll be bringing the Daisy energy, serving our house blend on the latest La Marzocco machines. Come by, say hello, and grab a free Can of Beans when you sign up to our mailing list, just look out for the pyramid.
If you can’t make the festival but still want to soak up the atmosphere, here are a few of our favourite coffee spots across the city.
SCENERY COFFEE, LONDON BRIDGE
@scenerycoffeeroasters
Scenery’s new flagship on Union Street is one of the most exciting openings in London right now. With their roastery on site, they’re serving a rotating selection of coffees from around the world — naturals, washed and experimental processes — all dialled in perfectly.
My order: Batch Brew
BEANY BROADGATE, LIVERPOOL STREET
@daisygreencollection
Our Liverpool Street café has been a quiet powerhouse for years. Right on Broadgate Circle and just a short walk from the festival, it’s the perfect stop before heading east. Expect silky flat whites, a busy city buzz, and the kind of coffee that keeps people coming back.
My order: Flat White
SPECIAL GUESTS, MARYLEBONE
@specialguestscoffee
Founded by Paul Ross, Special Guests brings competition-level coffee to the public. These are rare, small-batch coffees usually reserved for global competitions, carefully frozen and curated so they can be experienced beyond the stage. It’s a proper insight into the world of elite coffee.
My order: Aeropress
PARADOX DESIGN, LONDON FIELDS
@paradox_design_coffee
Tucked into Netil Market, Paradox Design are behind the cult Latte Art Dice (if you know, you know). They work with a rotating lineup of guest roasters, changing weekly, with Kat and Zain bringing serious knowledge and precision to every cup.
My order: V60
SO FRENCH, MARYLEBONE
@sofrench_cafe
Their house espresso is a 100% Arabica blend with a bold, rounded profile, designed to hold its own with milk or stand alone. It’s relaxed, charming, and feels more like a neighbourhood Parisian stop than central London.
My order: Café Crème + Croissant
THE ROASTING PARTY, PAVILION ROAD
CHELSEA
@roastingparty
The Roasting Party’s Pavilion Road spot is hard to miss. A small space with big energy, serving standout coffees from across the globe, plus a training space upstairs. Worth the queue.
My order: Piccolo
DA CECILIA, DALSTON
@dacecilia_e8
Da Cecilia serves air-roasted coffee, a process developed by Kribi Coffee in Chicago that uses hot air rather than traditional drum roasting. The result is a smoother, less bitter cup with a faster turnaround from roast to brew. Owner Eli is currently the only person offering this outside the US.
My order: Long Black
NOSTOS, VICTORIA
@nostoscoffee
Nostos is pushing things to another level. This is coffee treated with the same care as fine wine, slow, considered and precise. Expect Geisha varietals, detailed filter options and a signature flat white made using milk that’s been frozen and separated for maximum sweetness.
My order: Flat White
BAR ITALIA, SOHO
@baritalia
Bar Italia has been serving Soho since 1949. It’s fast, no-frills and always buzzing, with coffee pulled properly on classic machines behind the counter. Open late and woven into the fabric of the neighbourhood, it’s as much about the atmosphere as it is the espresso.
My order: Double Espresso
NOTTING HILL COFFEE SHOP
@thenottinghillbookshopcafe
A small coffee spot just off Portobello Road, right next to the iconic bookshop. Simple, reliable espresso and a steady flow of locals and tourists passing through. Be sure to ask for a long white if Ash is there!
My order: Flat White
