(19/100) hello baby greens
Hello to our three gorgeous eco-friendly tricycles. The tricycles were non-motorised, nimble and looked the part - they were set to become our ticket into some of the most prestigious buildings in Central London including @broadgatelondon , @OneNewChange and @thelondongherkin, as well as the 2012 London Olympics.
The “Baby” Greens operated alongside “Big Bertha”, our massive Mercedes Sprinter to move them around (they weighed almost a tonne each and couldn’t be cycled more than a few hundred metres on flat ground).
We found out on their first night that it was a three man job to get them into Big Bertha. Sadly on the first evening at @zsllondonzoo when it came to going home there were only two of us. Disaster struck and a Baby Green fell to the ground from a 3m height. It was unmovable. After sleeping over at the Zoo (which is just how you imagine – noisy and fun), a kind keeper at the gorilla pen had the perfect equipment to flip our baby over.
I have so many happy memories of these bikes (Chelsea Flower show with my Mum, Royal Ascot and an amazing F1 party to name a few).
Our army was now five strong and we were all set for a huge first summer with Pinky, Wander and our three beautiful Baby Greens. And then came the rain. So much rain. The wettest summer on record in the UK - ever.
