(7/100) A BALLARAT FOOD GUIDE

7A Fika_Matt Freeman.jpg

This is my cousin Matt… in his buzzing cafe @fikacoffeebrewers in @visitballarat . His coffee and homemade granola (@freemansnutrition) is worth the 1 hr drive from Melbourne alone.
The coffee and food scene has evolved so much in my hometown - if you are passing through be sure to check out some of my favourites:
️ @fikacoffeebrewers for early morning flat white (@st_ali coffee)
@johnnyalloo – latest adventure by Cousin Matt - can’t wait to visit
@lespressoballarat for the zucchini and corn fritters or homemade afternoon cakes with double cream
️🥑 @webstersmarketandcafe for @industrybeans coffee and super local Victorian produce after a lap of Lake Wendouree
@mitchell_harris for great local wine tasting
🥩 Dyer's Steak Stable for a timewarp adventure, possible ad hoc karaoke & top-notch steak

@underbarballarat if you can get one of the 12 seats at Chef Derek Boath’s table – he has worked in some of the world’s top restaurants including “Per Se” in New York
@theforgepizzeria for amazing pizza served by former Daisy General Manager, Kelly Donald.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Also not too far from our farm is the three hatted @braerestaurant (ranked #47 World’s 50 Best Restaurants List 2017) - a working organic farm and inventive Australian tasting menu showcasing produce from the farm and local producers.
